Mandy Patinkin is an American singer and actor most famous for his work on television shows such as The Princess Bride and Homeland. He was born in Chicago in 1952 and studied at the Juilliard School of Drama in New York. He began his career with stage work, and transferred to films in the late 1970’s, and built his reputation and popularity with The Princess Bride in 1987.
He worked on films, television, music and theater and the most recently he starred in Criminal Minds and Homeland. He got married to an actress and writer Kathryn Grody in 1980.
