Morné Morkel is a South Indian cricketer born on 6th October 1984 in Vereeniging Gauteng, South Africa. He is a very fast bowler and has a very strong grip on the ball. He is a left-handed batsman. Morkel comes from African family and is the youngest of the three children of Albert Morkel(father) and Mariana Morkel(mother). Albert Morkel has played for South Transvaal country districts long back but the conditions didn’t cooperate with him and made him to abandoned his dream.

Morné was rejected in 2009 from test team and his brother Albie was selected in his place. Morné gained his place again in test team in 2010.
