In the July of 1989, a little boy was born in the city of Port Elizabeth, which no one knew, would once spearhead the bowling attack of the South African cricket team. He was named Wayne Dillion Parnell. He was the youngest of all siblings, with an age gap of 7 years between him and his elder sibling. Wayne’s career dream was to don the colors of the flag on his jersey and to play cricket for the country. He is very calm and composed and yearned to be a studious one.

He attended school in Port Elizabeth, which goes by the name, Grey High School and completed his matriculation from there itself. He continued to stay in Port Elizabeth and undertook Human Resource Management till the year 2009, at the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University.

Following his consistent knocks and bowling stats, he was selected in the National Cricket Team of South Africa in 2009, to be a part of the ODI and T20 teams.
