Cole was born on January 28, 1985, at one USA Army base in Frankfurt, West Germany and raised in Fayetteville, North Carolina. Cole grew up in a multi-ethnic environment. His father was a former African-American soldier for the U.S. Army, and his mother was of German descent and worked for the US Postal Service. His father left them when Cole was still young. Cole married his long-time girlfriend, Melissa Heholt in 2015. Ms. Heholt was his classmate from St John’s University. The couple had their first child, a baby daughter in early 2016.
